How to share a link to your analysis

You can share any page in the Analysis tools by copying the link from your browser's address bar. Whoever opens the link sees the page set up the way you had it.

What the link includes

  • Your filters
  • Your Compare with filters
  • The datasets you're viewing
  • The view settings you've chosen in the tool

Your scroll position isn't saved. If you want someone to look at a particular section, mention it when you send the link.

How to share a link

  1. Open the Analysis tools and set up the view you want to share.
  2. Copy the address from your browser's address bar.
  3. Paste it into an email, Slack, Teams, or wherever you're sharing it.

The link ends in a short code (for example ?p=abc123) instead of listing your filters, so you can't change filters by editing the address. Change them on the page, and the address updates on its own.

Who can open the link

Only people with access to the dataset in your Thematic account can open the link. Sharing a link doesn't give anyone new access.

Refreshing and going back

Your filters are kept when you refresh the page. Your browser's back and forward buttons move you between the views you've had.

Links you've already shared

Older links still work, including links in Thematic emails you've already received. When you open one, the address updates to the new short format.
