Snowflake Reader Integration

To set up a Snowflake Reader Integration follow the instructions in this article.

Step 1: Create a Reader Account in your Snowflake instance

Make sure to write the User Name and Password down as you will need them in Step 3.

Once the reader is created you will also need to copy the 'Locator URL'. This will also need to be supplied in Step 3

Step 2: Add a share available to this reader

Start by creating a 'Direct Share'

Select the Tables that you want to share, give it a reasonable name, and select the reader that was created in Step 1 as the 'Account' to share with.

Step 3: Provide the connection details in Thematic

In the 'Integrations' screen of Thematic, choose to add a connection to 'Snowflake Reader'.

Fill in the fields required.

Share URL: This should be the url copied in step 1. This is NOT your account url

Username: This should be the username created in step 2

Password: This should be the password created in step2

Step 4: Set up a Dataset using this integration

Once the integration is connected it will be possible to use it when setting up a new dataset.
