Data Upload Alerts

This article will explain how to turn on data upload alerts so you can be notified by email or Slack when an upload is successful, has failed, or if data drops below a pre determined limit.

Alert for successful uploads

Receive an alert when a file has been successfully uploaded and stage is moved from processing to complete.

  1. First, go to manage data to choose the dataset and select 'Manage dataset'

  1. Select 'Alerts' on the left hand side panel

  1. Select 'Alert for successful uploads' and choose the notification option (email or slack)

  1. For Slack notifications simply click on Connect to Slack to connect your Slack account directly to Thematic

  1. For email notifications simply add the email address which will receive the notification.

Alert for failed uploads

Receive an alert when an upload has errored/failed. This alert will summarise the reason for the error and if columns are missing will highlight these (see below).

Follow steps 1 & 2 above and select 'Alert for failed uploads'

Then select notification channel.

Alert if data drops below limit

Receive an alert if data volume is below the average expected. This can be customised by selecting a percentage of the average volume.

Follow steps 1 & 2 above and select 'Alert if data drops below limit'

Here you can select when data is expected and set the % number of the average volume i.e. notify me if volume is less than 80% of expected volume.
